The agreement will allow the development of actions and research projects that contribute to the knowledge of the ecological structure.

With the aim of joining efforts aimed at developing actions, research and monitoring projects that contribute to the knowledge of the main ecological structure, the protected areas and biological corridors of the department associated with climate change with regard to the conservation and use of biodiversity and ecosystem services the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira - Corpoguajira and the University of La Guajira signed a cooperation agreement.

Among the activities to be carried out during the next five years are: prepare and carry out a joint work plan that allows to implement its development; formulate projects aimed at providing knowledge for the recovery of the main ecological structure of protected areas and biological corridors; manage resources for the execution of projects that are executed within the framework of the agreement before national and international authorities, for its implementation.
