The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira began the commemoration of World Environment Day, socializing the guardians of the environment and peace of the lower basin of the Ranchería River the scope of the work that will allow the strengthening of the environmental management and management of this regional protected area.
Samuel Lanao Robles, General Manager Corpoguajira, explained that this management will be made official through an agreement that will be signed between the environmental entity, the municipality of Manaure and the environmental watchdog foundation.
“This achievement will allow us to better govern the said conservation zone.. This is an alliance for life and natural wealth, that will increase preservation actions, integrated use and management of resources, as well as the protection of species of fauna and flora; empowering the actors of the territory and generating synergies aimed at generating a more sustainable environment for current and future generations”.
The official also confirmed that together with the Manaure mayor's office and the Aremasain boarding school, An agreement will be launched that allows the optimal management and collection of usable solid waste in this area, with the participation of several recycling companies.
Throughout the month of June, different environmental education activities have been scheduled in the municipalities of San Juan del Cesar, Maicao y Riohacha, in the framework of the commemoration of this important date.
