La Guajira joins the "Trash Challenge", a new viral challenge is promoted through social networks with a dynamic ecofriendly innovation as a proposal that creates opportunity for inclusion actual causes of great importance related to environmental matters, social and recreational.

This challenge is known worldwide as #Trashtag, #Trashtagchallenge, #Basurachallenge, helping to combat pollution and dirt on the planet, especially in natural areas. Riohacha, CIDEA decides to challenge the mirror cleaning water wetland 15 May as part of the celebration of World Water Day, morning 22 March.

Challenge is designed to raise public awareness on the rational use of plastic bags and the need for education to prevent people throw garbage especially in water bodies to prevent contamination.
