The highest environmental authority and the Ecoambiente Foundation, They work together in a study to consolidate the necessary information, that allows the formulation of the strategic action plan, aimed at counteracting the effects associated with climate change in La Guajira.

Through this process, a diagnosis of the institutional moment will also be prepared., environmental and socio-economic, with the purpose of generating effective information, to mitigate the risk of phenomena resulting from climate variability and change.

For the execution of this project, Corpoguajira and Ecoambiente, They have had the support of several institutions, including: National Parks, Colombian Agricultural Institute, UNDP, Ideas, Planning and Education Offices (municipal and departmental), Local Risk Management Committees, inter.

In La Guajira and the world, Climate change is a reality and has important effects on the socio-economic development of any society.; in response to this problem, Corpoguajira seeks to establish the most urgent guidelines and actions to counteract its effects.
