In this activity, the Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro; presented the management report of the Action Plan, vigencia 2015, detailing the most significant achievements of the entity during the previous year, among them, the care provided to the vulnerable population during the drought season, the declaration of new protected areas for the preservation of biodiversity, authority and environmental control; the renewal of quality certifications by Icontec International, advances in solid waste, watershed conservation, species of fauna and flora and mitigation of the effects of climate change.

Additionally, the work carried out in the comprehensive water resource management programs was highlighted., environmental land management, biodiverse forests and ecosystem services, environmental management, sectoral and urban; environmental education and exercise of environmental authority.

During the event, the four Municipal Mayors who will be part of the Board of Directors of Corpoguajira were chosen., this year: Giovanny Javier Ramos Barros (Urumi); Welcome Jose Mejía Brito (Dibulla); Jorge Alberto Cerchiaro Figueroa (Barrancas) and María Isabel Zabaleta Quintero (El Molino).

The activity also included the financial presentation and the report of the fiscal auditor of the Corporation.
