The Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira strengthens the green and sustainable business program led by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development; seeking to promote production and consumption patterns that foster an environmental culture, also facilitating consumer decision making, aiming not only at marketing but at a healthy product.

Nowadays, La Guajira has 71 productive units in biotrade sectors, sustainable agrosystems, non-conventional sources of renewable energy and use and valuation of waste. The implementation of these undertakings becomes the maintenance of native biodiversity, the reduction of pollution, strengthening environmental education and culture, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and others.

The corporation, in its commitment to manage space to promote the strategy, reopens the physical store of organic products and services, This Green Window located in the municipality of Palomino has become the strategic point for producers in the area to offer their crops.; Just as a peasant market was held yesterday with the participation of 4 green business:

• Association of reforesters and agricultural producers – ASOREAGRO: organic crops
• Network of organic farmers in the northern Sierra Nevada – RED ECOAGRO: organic crops.
• Miramar Foundation: sighting and organic crops.
• Association of organic producers of the municipality of Dibulla – APOMD: crop, cocoa transformation and marketing.
