To prevent forest fires, Corpoguajira recommends to tour operators, visitors and the community in general; do not make bonfires, burning or improvised stoves in the rivers.

Corpoguajira, through the Environmental Education Coordination, calls on the Catholic Church to promote the use of live plants to celebrate Palm Sunday, and in this way protect the Wax Palm, only habitat of the yellow-eared parrot, species declared endangered.

During the Greater Week, The environmental authority will carry out awareness days aimed at the community in general, to dismantle all these people who, owners of restaurants and lodgings in the sites of ecotourism interest located on the Caribbean trunk, the north and south of the peninsula, to encourage practices that allow for correct disposal of solid waste and generate a culture of no garbage.
