Corpoguajira recibió las Rutas Ambientales por la Paz, un proceso adelantado por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, and the Alexander Von Humboldt Biological Resources Research Institute, which seeks to strengthen citizen participation in environmental management through meeting and dialogue scenarios in which the members of the National Environment Youth Network and other youth participation initiatives will be protagonists..
More than 80 young people of the region under the leadership of Corpoguajira, who will light the flame for peace, the symbol that has been traveling through the country to illuminate the path to the end of the war, and to set the dialogues of young people. The Environmental Routes for Peace will continue through Colombia, where young people will contribute to the construction of regional agreements around peace, biodiversity and climate change.
The Environmental Routes for Peace are preparatory exercises for the great National Meeting: "Youths, Territory and Peace”, which will take place in Bogotá 3 the 5 de junio. Over there, 3 thousand 500 young people will work on the construction of national agreements as proposals for territorial environmental management. In La Guajira, The Construction of the Young People's Environment network is strengthened and supported by Corpoguajira.
The Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development recognizes young people as political subjects, who must be protagonists of environmental decisions that affect the national territory, especially at this historical moment where the country is increasingly closer to achieving peace. Therefore the Ministry, and the Alexander von Humboldt Institute, support this process of participation and environmental education.
