Corpoguajira and the Ecoambiente Foundation, They will carry out the socialization of the diagnosis of social and institutional actors of the department, related to risk management, due to the effects of climate change.

The activity is part of the alliance between the two entities, with the purpose of carrying out an analysis of the socio-economic context, institutional and environmental environment and the formulation and dissemination of an action plan to counteract the effects associated with the phenomenon of climate variability in the peninsula.

The event will take place on Tuesday 9 July 2013, from the 8:00 am, in the auditorium of Corpoguajira (Cra 7 No 12 – 25, Riohacha). Public institutions were summoned, presidents of Community Action Boards, the indigenous communities of the municipalities of Dibulla and Riohacha, among others.

This same activity will also be carried out in the coming weeks in Maicao, San Juan del Cesar and Fonseca.

In La Guajira and the world, Climate change is a reality and has important effects on social and economic development; in response to this problem, Corpoguajira seeks to establish the most urgent guidelines and actions to counteract its effects.
