With the support of the National Police, two green turtles were seized (Chelonia mydas) in the municipality of Uribia.

Introducing turtles to their natural habitat, took place on the beaches of Manaure. The activity had the voluntary participation of a group of motorcycle taxi drivers, who were sensitized about the importance of preserving these peaceful animals.

The turtles were microchipped., which has a Corpoguajira serial registered.

35 birds seized in Villa Martín

At a police checkpoint in Villa Martín (Riohacha), were confiscated 30 owlets (Sporophila intermediate) and 5 cardoneros parakeets (Forpus passerinus), which would be marketed in Riohacha.

The birds were in the possession of a group of minors, which will participate in reconversion programs carried out by Corpoguajira, to contribute to the biodiversity of the region.
