Guardians of Environment and Peace participated in the First Seminar - International Workshop on Sustainable Development Alternatives: Management of natural resources from the perspective of traditional knowledge of local communities, where the risk of contamination in water sources was debated, public policy in coastal areas, the Territory Body Memory and the good life, environmental services, among other papers they persuaded and train participants.

The seminar is carried out by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira in coordination with the University of La Guajira, the babbler Germán Aguilar. ABIUDEA, INVEMAR, DIMAR, SWEDISHCaribbean, the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala and the University of Córdoba with which alternatives are encouraged to promote the sense of belonging to environmental heritage, cultural and territorial in the department of La Guajira.

Space allows us to reinforce the conservation of ecosystems, create environmental planning policies, promote good practices to achieve sustainable environmental development and instruct the Wayuú ethnic group on the management and proper functioning of the resources they have in each of their territories.

Corpoguajira promotes this type of spaces so that strategic allies such as the Guardians of the Environment and Peace can reinforce initiatives to care for the environment and the preservation of the fauna and flora of our department.. Also contribute to peace, providing solutions to conflicts over the use of natural resources and biodiversity in communities.
