The accreditation gives the Corpoguajira Laboratory the suitability and legitimacy to produce information
quantitative physics and chemistry for the environmental analyzes required by the entity.

The Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies – IDEAM-, renewed the accreditation of the Environmental Laboratory of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, to produce quantitative physical and chemical information for the environmental analyzes required by Corpoguajira, related to the quality of the environment and renewable natural resources, under the guidelines of the NTC-ISO / IEC 17025 "General Requirements Proficiency Testing and Calibration Laboratories", version 2017.

Accreditation was granted through Resolution 1010 the 9 September 2021, issued by the IDEAM. The administrative act also contemplates that the Laboratory carry out studies in different variables of the water matrix and in the air matrix..

“For Corpoguajira, it is especially pleasant to inform the community in general of the renewal of the accreditation of our Environmental Laboratory, which allows us to produce reliable physical and chemical quantitative information. This information is a priority for decision-making aimed at improving the conditions of the water quality of our hydrographic basins and thus allow the water available at the source for human consumption and other uses to be of the best possible quality ", said the General Director of Corpoguajira, Samuel Lanao Robles, who
He also stressed that 11 accredited parameters were passed to 19 endorsed by IDEAM. The validity of the Resolution is four years, period in which the Environmental Laboratory, must meet and maintain the conditions under which it was accredited.
