Report Air Quality Mining Area of ​​Influence

INTRODUCTION.

CORPOGUAJIRA, in compliance with Decree 948 of 1995 issued by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development "MAVDT", establishes the need by regulators Environment, committed to advancing the above monitoring tests in order to take corrective, sanctions and establish Air Quality Standards at regional level if the case, as I pointed out in Decree 979 of 2006 and Resolution 601 of 2006 MAVDT, where the regulations for the control of air pollution and legislation air quality are recorded. CORPOGUAJIRA advances the program to monitor air quality, in order to determine the extent of contamination or contribution of particulate matter by the operators of coal, transportation and other human activities capable of generating particles; to establish itself controls implemented by mining companies, are meeting the objectives or whether it is necessary to strengthen them.

Resolution 601 the 04 April 2006, established quality standard level air immission and especially for particles PM10, which was for the year 2010 so: 60 ug / m3 annual and 150 µg/m3 para 24 hours; TSP regarding was thus: 100 ug / m3 annual and 300 µg/m3 para 24 hours.
During the first quarter 2010, were performed a total of 187 monitoring of air quality stations distributed in the above-mentioned, of which were lost due to faulty electrical fluid and disadvantages in the vehicle, total 17 during the quarter. That is the number of valid monitoring was 170.

OBJECTIVE.

Take measurements of air pollutants at the level of air quality, in populations of Fonseca, Hatonuevo, Barrancas, Rock, Rabbit, Las Casitas, Provincial, Papayal, Chancleta-Pin (PM-10 and PST), Cuestecitas (PM-10 and PST) and Remedies; represented both in total suspended particles (PST) and particles smaller than 10 microns (PM10), for a period of 90 days in arribas stations cited.

• Determine emission levels of particulate matter (PM10) and (PST) in (μg/m3).
• Perform compare the results obtained with the current standard in force for air quality Colombia Resolution 0601 of 2006 Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development - MAVDT
