Complying with the decision of the High Constitutional Court, respecto a la inexequibilidad del Decreto – Law 3565 of 2011, a través del cual se amplió el período de los directores de las CAR, the Board of Corpoguajira, appointed as Director in Charge of the highest environmental authority of the department, to Jaime Pinto Bermúdez.

Pinto Bermúdez, es Ingeniero Químico, especialista en Ingeniería Sanitaria y Ambiental; cuenta además con un diplomado en Formulación Pedagógico Didáctica e Investigativa en Educación Superior.

He has served as Coordinator of the Institute of Environmental Studies and Water Use of the University of La Guajira, Instructor of the Environmental Dimension of SENA, Coordinator of the Corpoguajira Environmental Laboratory and Deputy Director of Environmental Management and Development of this same entity.

As part of his professional experience, his work as a professor at the University of La Guajira also stands out., in Environmental Engineering programs, Industrial Engineering, Accounting and Administration in Ethnoeducation.

Engineer Pinto Bermúdez, replaces Arcesio Romero Pérez as of today, who served as General Director of the entity.
