The project promotes civic coexistence and environmental effectiveness of programs focused on management and sanitary disposal of solid waste.
A group of young people from Riohacha, that live in the Majayura neighborhoods, New Horizon, Villa Fatima, Campo Alegre, Buenos Aires and Marbella; participate in different community campaigns, led by Corpoguajira and the Fundación Casa Ecológica, which aim to achieve the adequate disposal of solid waste in these sectors of the capital Guajira, thus contributing to the strengthening of environmental responsibility in the Municipality.
The project seeks to become a powerful tool to promote citizen environmental convenience and the effectiveness of programs focused on the management and sanitary disposal of solid waste and the efficient use of water..
Among the activities to be carried out, the holding of a series of workshops on systematic vision of the environment and urban environmental management stands out.; additionally, community cleaning days will be carried out for the elimination of satellite garbage dumps, the planting of fruit trees in the benefited sectors and the recovery and cleaning of the public space.
With the implementation of this interesting strategy, Corpoguajira reaffirms the commitment to strengthen the culture of non-garbage, the recovery of urbanized green areas and awareness, awareness and training of the population on caring for the environment.
