Corpoguajira begins in Albania an interesting social work unit differential approach to victims that will strengthen environmental actions developed by the municipal entity, while offering the opportunity for social reintegration to young victims of the armed conflict who live in the municipality.
For the first time a group of 20 young people affected by the armed conflict, decide to join together to become Environmental Promoters through knowledge and the use of their talents to contribute to the preservation, protection and care of environmental resources within the process proposed by national policy: Education for Peace contemplated in the law 1448 of 2011.
The schedule of activities that strengthen urban sector management, contemplates the realization of 4 activities (academic, deportiva, cultural and environmental) including a tree planting day called Planting to Heal Wounds.
Corpoguajira is a leader in the implementation of participatory planning processes that facilitates the reduction of social conflict by opening spaces for the construction of territories, in a concerted and inclusive manner between authorities and the empowered community, that decides what its participation is according to the needs and cultural and ecological characteristics of each place.
With the implementation of these post-conflict activities, and generators of Peace we are complying with the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) included in the agenda 2030 that requires working on issues such as the fight against climate change, reducing deforestation and biodiversity loss, reasonable use of water among others.
These activities will be developed primarily in the neighborhoods 26 de Febrero, City Albania, Villa Reina, Cuestecitas where the young victims of the conflict live.
