Giving compliance to the commitments agreed between the Board of Directors of Corpoguajira and the communities of the north of the peninsula, started a series of environmental education activities, to generate awareness in the members of the Wayúu ethnic group about the protection and conservation of the environment.
The realization of an Ecological Night in the Yolijalu community stands out (Nazareth), in which issues such as the proper management of natural resources, solid waste and cultural reaffirmation.
The event included the presentation of educational videos and fun days in which children participated, girls, young people and teachers from schools in the area.
The Ecological Night was also attended by the communities of Campo Mara, Villa Manaure, Kulesiamana y Makijanao. The activity was carried out with the support of the Mayor's Office of Uribia, the Government of La Guajira and officials of the La Macuira National Natural Park.
