The 26 January marks World Environmental Education Day, Corpoguajira reaffirms its commitment to this issue and invites the community to reflect on its role in the sustainable development of La Guajira.

Environmental conservation consists of the rational use of the resources that nature provides us., for sustainable development to ensure the life of future generations. On a planet without water, no fertile land, treeless, without fresh air; life impossible, why is so important the commitment of everyone in the preservation of natural resources.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature, defines environmental education as a learning process of recognizing values and clarifying concepts, in order to foster the skills and attitudes necessary to understand and appreciate the interrelationships between man, culture and biophysical, and for environmentally informed population, prepared to develop skills that will improve their quality of life.
Environmental Education, then becomes, in a true alternative, that as a tool of transformation, You can either establish profound changes in humanity, for the good of the environmental struggles, in that desperate search to solve the difficulties that beset, consequence of the use and abuse of natural resources.
Corpoguajira has not been immune to this alternative exchange, This is why it constantly develops actions aimed at making the Guajiros aware of the environment and interested in its related problems., additionally to have the knowledge, motivations and desires to work individually and collectively in the search for solutions to environmental problems.
The next 26 January will commemorate World Environmental Education Day, an auspicious date to reaffirm, as the highest environmental authority, our commitment to this vital topic and to invite the community to reflect on its role in the sustainable development of La Guajira.
