In La Guajira the day will take place in strategic ecosystems, to guarantee water supply to communities settled in the region. Therefore, The Corporation has proposed to plant 20.000 trees on the stipulated dates considering native species that contribute to the covering of the vegetation layer of each sector to be intervened, producing food and nutrition for communities, as well as the interconnection between ecosystems.

This will be the first of three major events that will take place this year. 2020, inter alia, for the purposes of recovery of areas degraded by phenomena such as deforestation, inappropriate use and fragmentation of ecosystems.
