In an articulated work between the Regional Autonomous Corporations of La Guajira and Magdalena, was released from 15 pink flamingos in the protected area Musichi Integrated Management Regional District.

rescued by Corpoguajira and the National Police, in a hotel that operates in the district of Palomino, Dibulla.
After a rehab job, they moved to Musichi where they returned to their natural habitat.
Samuel Lanao Robles, Director Corpoguajira, explained that “pink flamingos currently face serious threats due to the effects associated with climate change. Additionally, they are birds that, due to their striking physical characteristics, are victims of trafficking and illegal marketing., to keep them as pets, practice that is totally prohibited. subcategorizing them into, we reinforce these operations more and more, to recover our species of wildlife and return them safe and sound to freedom”.
