Corpoguajira, the Pan American Development Foundation, PADF and Preserve Corporation; in partnership with the National Hydrocarbons Agency – BROTHER, They carried out the third session of the Pedagogical Workshop on Environmental Knowledge, aimed at the students of the El Cerro Ethnoeducational Center in the Angostura village, rural area of the municipality of Hatonuevo in the south of La Guajira.
This time, The session took place in the control and monitoring cabin of the protected area Bañaderos Integrated Management District; They addressed two topics of great importance: Biodiversity and Sustainability, and its presentation was carried out in a theoretical-practical manner.
During development, The students shared the knowledge they already had on the topic.. Además, to strengthen learning, Videos were presented and a puppet play on biodiversity care was developed. The children and young people of Angostura are trained every day to be the watchmen of their environment, knowing the true value of the different species that surround them and provide multiple benefits for their growth..
Within the recreational activities, an afternoon of painting was developed where, through their ingenuity, they captured the different ecosystems that they identified in their environment., being guided by experts from the area. Además, The students were informed that their drawings will be replicated on the walls of the school to, so, through this attractive tool, invite the student community and those who reside in the Angostura village to become environmentally aware and sensitize them regarding the care and preservation of the environment.
