Corpoguajira, the Pan American Development Foundation, PADF and Preserve Corporation; in partnership with the National Hydrocarbons Agency – BROTHER, They carried out the third session of the Pedagogical Workshop on Environmental Knowledge, aimed at the students of the El Cerro Ethnoeducational Center in the Angostura village, rural area of the municipality of Hatonuevo in the south of La Guajira.
This time, The session took place in the control and monitoring cabin of the protected area Bañaderos Integrated Management District; They addressed two topics of great importance: Biodiversity and Sustainability, and its presentation was carried out in a theoretical-practical manner.
During development, The students shared the knowledge they already had on the topic.. Además, to strengthen learning, se presentaron videos y se desarrolló una obra de títeres sobre cuidado de la biodiversidad. Los niños y jóvenes de Angostura cada día se capacitan para ser los vigías de su entorno conociendo el verdadero valor de las distintas especies que los rodean y brindan múltiples beneficios para su crecimiento.
Dentro de las actividades lúdicas se desarrolló una tarde de pintura en donde a través de su ingenio plasmaban los diferentes ecosistemas que identifican en su entorno, siendo guiados por expertos de la zona. Además, se les informó a los estudiantes que sus dibujos serán replicados en las paredes de la escuela para, so, por medio de esta atractiva herramienta, invite the student community and those who reside in the Angostura village to become environmentally aware and sensitize them regarding the care and preservation of the environment.
