Con la realización de la carrera La Guajira 10K, la Corporación Autónoma Regional de La Guajira y la Fundación Estudio, The activities that are part of the strategy The Goal is Water continue with success, which has the purpose of conserving the watersheds of the department and preserving 685 hectares of forest in the Cerro Bañaderos Integrated Management District, beneficiando a más de 300.000 inhabitants of the peninsula suffering from the effects of drought.
The event, held this morning in the main streets of Riohacha, gathered more than 500 athletes from different parts of the country. The activity had the support of the La Guajira Athletics League, the Government of La Guajira and the Mayor's Office of Riohacha.

1K mode: Freddy Jimenez
2K mode: Yamid Ali
Adult Category
10K mode: Andrés Ruiz and Diana Suárez.
10K Veterans Mode: Juan Cardona and Yaneth Rodallega.
Recreational 5K mode: Carlos Berti and Maritza Rodríguez.
Youth 5K mode: Amado Soto and Karen Manjarrés.
5K Veterans Mode: Astrid Gerdts.
Meanwhile, Neymi Flórez and Darío Gutiérrez, were the winners in the Best Guajira and Best Guajiro categories, respectively.
The Goal is Water strategy, will continue in the coming days with an environmental expedition to the Cerro Bañaderos Integrated Management District.
