Corpoguajira participated in the construction of the joint work agenda, designed between the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Juan Gabriel Uribe and the Directors of all the CARs in the country.

The agenda addressed topics such as the real situation of environmental licensing of mining activities in Colombia, the CAR reform project, strengthening environmental authority and environmental planning of the territory.

Another aspect analyzed was ecotourism, component in which the Corporation has made significant progress; Likewise, it was agreed to apply severe measures against illegal mining exploitation., of wood and the trafficking and commercialization of species of fauna and flora.

Some of the established commitments have to do with the compilation of environmental laws to provide a valid instrument to the country in this matter., the presentation of a Bill to generate some taxes for compensation and financial legal instruments and strengthen environmental education actions through the delivery of environmental libraries and virtual books on ecology.
