National Police seized five marine turtles in Uribia

The turtles were released in the area of ​​Playas Blancas, Township Manaure

Through a complaint made by community members, the green line 123, the National Police managed to seize in Uribia a total of five sea turtles, four of the green species (Chelonia midas) and a hawksbill (Eretmochelys imbricata).

The operation was led by Patrolman Daniel Contreras, which he said the case is under investigation, since illegal holders turtle escaped from the back of the residence where the diligence was performed, noting the presence of the authorities.

Corpoguajira professionals performed a complete assessment to animals, which they were released in Playas Blancas (Manaure). The ceremony was attended introductory students of School Eusebio Seventh Mari, representatives of the Ecological House Foundation, National police and officers of the Corporation.
