With the purpose of exploring international markets, to market green goods and services produced by organizations linked to the Green Markets project promoted by Corpoguajira, officials of the highest environmental authority of the department and representatives of several productive associations of the agricultural sector of La Guajira, They held a meeting with businessmen from the island of Curacao, those who are interested in consolidating commercial negotiations for food products grown in La Guajira.

As part of this meeting, A visit was made to the COOGRUPADI biofertilizer production plant, in the municipality of Dibulla, in which the experiences and advances in sustainable agriculture carried out by this Cooperative supported by the Corporation were presented..

This commercial approach with the islands that are part of the Dutch Antilles, has been possible thanks to the participation of Corpoguajira in a business mission to Aruba and Curacao, in June 2010, with the objective of publicizing the advances obtained by agricultural producers of La Guajira, that are part of the Guajira Verde Network.

The Curacao Commission, It was made up of Rudolph Haseth, Member of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Curacao; Wilbert Geertruida, President Association of SMEs of Curacao ADECK; Don Martina (Former Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles, currently retired and President of the Tierra Aire y Semilla Foundation (THAT); Martin's tears – Giskus, Secretary of the TAS and Boy Magdalena Foundation, Secretary of ADECK.

The associations that are part of the project are: Green Guajira Network, Asohofrucol, Coogrupadi, EAT Rio Claro, Agribusiness Ranchería, EAT Piyaya, Cooprocojume and the agricultural sector of the South of La Guajira.

At the conclusion of the meeting, The complacency of the islanders and the firm decision to move forward in an agile manner in the consolidation of trade negotiations stands out.; For which contracts will be made with a single organization that represents all producers and associations.. As part of this process, extended an invitation so that in the third week of October 2011, Representatives of the productive associations of La Guajira will travel to Curacao with precise information on the offer of the products to be marketed..
