With the active participation of the community, planting days are held for the establishment of a thousand trees in the Quebrada Moreno basin at the height of the Villa Martín district in Riohacha.

The activity takes place within the framework of the initiative of the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, CORPOGUAJIRA, which commits the planting of two million trees throughout the department and has the support of allies such as the company HOCOL S.A. and the Preserve Corporation.

The day of land preparation and planting has been carried out by members of the Community Action Board, community leaders and last-year high school students from the Evaristo Acosta school in the village of Monguí, residents in Villa Martín.

The Quebrada Moreno is an important tributary that supplies water resources to several towns in the Guajira capital., its recovery is decisive to guarantee the supply of water and the ecosystem balance of this area of ​​the department.
