The new Director of the Corporation, He is a civil engineer from the University Corporation of the Coast - CUC, Specialist in Government and Public Territorial Management Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Lanao Robles who with more than 15 years in the public sector has been characterized by its leadership and competitiveness to strengthen sectors where it has played.

Likewise, He has served as Mayor of Maicao; also as a consultant in the Congress; He has worked in different departments of public works, community and economic development; planning administrative departments; and as deputy director of environmental management in the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, a position he assumed from the 2012 high commitment to the recovery and conservation of natural ecosystems of the department.

Samuel Robles stressed that "I will put all my commitment and availability to join forces to ensure the sustainability of the department of La Guajira, through coordination with state institutions, the private sector and the community ".

The election of the new director of Corpoguajira was considered after evaluating 22 hopefuls, where filter were selected 10 eligibles who met the legal requirements. The vote of the Board resulted 10 for Lanao Samuel Robles.
