In the framework of the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan Formulation Climate Change for the Department of La Guajira, which seeks to implement early adaptation measures, The Community Risk Management and Climate Change Committee was formed.

This committee is made up of 62 people who received from Corpguajira, Disaster risk management training, climate change and productive sectors, through workshops that were held in communities located in the 7 department basins. This knowledge, allow these people to strengthen their sense of belonging and increase their capacity to respond, which will allow them to alert their communities about the occurrence of adverse natural events.
