Technical Secretariat and Regional Coordinating Node Insular Caribbean and Climate Change, meeting held under the close of business on current period
On-site Research Institute "José Benito Vives de Andreis” (Invemar), based in the city of Santa Marta, was held today, the closing meeting of the Technical Secretariat activities and Coordination Node and Insular Caribbean Regional Climate Change by the Invemar and Corpoguajira, respectively.
The meeting was attended by the investigating Anny Invemar Paola Zamora, Vivian Lopez Ochoa and Angela; Corpoguajira was represented by engineer Eliumat Maza Samper, Group Coordinator Control and Environmental Monitoring.
During the event the Plan Monitoring and Insular Caribbean Node revised and contract closure activities of the Technical Secretariat between Invemar and the United Nations Development Programme presented (UNDP), for the period 2011-2012.
Among the activities planned under the Technical Secretariat closure highlights:
– Financial close with UNDP project
– Reports and minutes of meetings
– Monitoring Matrix action plan Node
– Protocol design portal Node
– Folders with emails, database and trades generated under the regional node.
– A final report containing the development and progress, with diagnosis and identification of actors
"The strategy of regionalization of State, conducted by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development, to divide Colombia Nodes of Climate Change, It has been a concerted action between SINA actors, which seeks to develop adaptation and mitigation actions to the effects of climate change and improve the conditions of the Colombian population, to meet the new climate patterns presented in recent years ", Romero Perez said Arcesius, General Manager Corpoguajira.
The Regional Node Insular Caribbean and Climate Change, thank Invemar and UNDP, support presented in the last year. Henceforth it is a commitment from Corpoguajira, period 2012-2013, hire the Technical Secretariat, which will be forwarded to an organization that demonstrates responsibility and management issue, for which it was thought the possibility of continuing with the accompaniment of Invemar.
At the same meeting strategies needed to advance the development of an agreement for the development of the Integrated Management Plan were determined, for the coastal zone of the department of La Guajira, Colombian Caribbean and the possibility of integrating actions for adaptation and mitigation to climate change impacts.
