TUGUEKA, PLACE OF INSPIRATION AND EPHEMERAL ART

_20160921_121830

With elements that nature gives, boys and girls let their imagination fly.

Chronicle

Tugueka mornings are hectic and silent, the active participation of the new Kogi generation in educational processes, seems to be the most important activity on weekdays.

More than a hundred children and adolescents receive classes in four classrooms built,- respecting the culture -, especially to disseminate knowledge.

Environment is one of the subjects they receive from a young mamo. Recognition of natural resources, dialogue with water, respect for mother nature and the unconsciousness of younger siblings (non-indigenous community) are among others the learning topics.

The anguish of the inhabitants of Tugueka, including students, revolves around the permanent felling of trees and the extraction of stone material and other, whose illegal activity affects the channels and banks of the rivers.

Corpoguajira, listened to this call and is studying the regularization and sanction for those who insist on continuing with harmful practices and without adequate permits to exploit natural resources for commercialization purposes..

With the support of the teacher, Environmental education workshops are implemented, translated to children in the Kogi language., being is, another of the entity's actions.

On this occasion, the psychologist and plastic artist Luz María Gómez, entity official, led an ephemeral art workshop in which they participated 90 little ones from the primary grades.

The workshop consisted of creating with elements that nature gives, artistic expressions that reflect the reality and natural wealth of the Sierra Nevada.

The magic of creativity took over the little ones and teamwork, without conflict and humility, as a sign of their culture, allowed organized stones to take the shape of animals, leaves and twigs on roofs of houses, little trees and others.

The morning was diluted between laughter and joy produced by a loud applause that was entangled in nature, when adults and children contemplated his works of art, an experience that could be considered, successful.
