The Corporation will exhaustively review the flows that have been assigned within the basin regulations, in order to control the distribution of water.
The Director General of Corpoguajira, Luis Manuel Medina Toro and officials of the environmental entity, they met with the inhabitants of Puente Bomba and Pelechua (Riohacha), to address community concerns, related to the scarcity of water in the Tapias River.
During the activity, professionals from the Corporation socialized the report on environmental control and monitoring of the derivations of the middle and lower basin of the Tapias River. The analysis was carried out from the intake of the Riohacha aqueduct to the Don Marce Grupo K-David banana plantation and from the Robles canal to the intersection with the Caribbean trunk road..
Corpoguajira established that before the water shortage, measures are urgently needed, to deal with the drought situation, that lead to the equitable distribution of the little flow of the river, among all its beneficiaries.
The 13 February 2014, to 9:00 am in the Corpoguajira auditorium (Cra 7 No 12 – 25, Riohacha), a meeting will be held with the users of the Tapias River, who must comply with the recommendations made by the highest environmental authority.
