For the fifth consecutive time, the Autonomous Regional Corporation of the Atlantic C.R.A, in partnership with private enterprise Ultracem, They have open enrollment to compete for the only environmental award, whose scope is regional, the only recognition being promoted by an environmental authority to strengthen communities, researchers and organizations around environmental issues, looking to the concepts of sustainability and development to connect.

This year the V version of the award is fulfilled "Strategic Management for Sustainable Environment 2019 GEMS", whose entries are open to the 5 August and has the support of the Autonomous Regional Corporations of the Caribbean region. The award ceremony will take place on 3 October this year.

In this version, the award is direct area of ​​influence in the Caribbean region, por lo tanto, proposals should come and be developed in any of the departments or cities that comprise.

GEMS 2019, has five (5) categories: Environmental citizen, Version School Environmental Education, Environmental Education and Research, environmental organization Green Business. The latter category was included taking into account the growth of friendly business environment in the country's economy. Winners in each category will earn between 10 million and 5 millones.

It is an acknowledgment that aims to promote environmental management of people, organizations and entities that have managed to become a benchmark for environmental leadership and demonstrates the success of initiatives together public-private.

In the 4 Previous versions have been granted 18 awards and more than 150 millions of pesos.
