During the meeting that took place in the Kemiumana community, located in the rural area of ​​Manaure, The use of water resources was analyzed as well as the production and commercialization of charcoal.

In this sense, Corpoguajira implements actions that guarantee the inhabitants of the community access to water resources., especially during the dry season, while it is possible to define whether to build a new well or a pool for the water reservoir.

In the case of marketing in moderate quantities of charcoal, it was found that many trees are cut still green in winter time for production. The community states that it carries out this process to support their families.

In this situation, The Corporation carries out environmental education workshops to raise awareness and sensitization on the environmental problem of tree felling. Likewise, the institution's proposal was presented to face the difficulties of this community, with the improvement of community gardens, of fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants, among other projects.

During the meeting the Corporation stated that it is possible to raise operating models of charcoal from tropical dry forests, in the context of sustainable scheme, for which it is necessary to perform preliminary studies prior to implementation.
