Within the agreement of wills agreed between Corpoguajira and the National Police, This training and updating in environmental legislation is given as a cognitive tool to exercise the functions as an environmental authority.

In compliance with this agreement, Corpoguajira advanced the day to update knowledge with the Environmental Ecological Police of the entire department. The topics developed were Environmental education, application of environmental comparison, control of atmospheric gas emissions and illegal traffic of wild fauna and flora. Además, support is contemplated in the playful days – pedagogical, educational workshops, nutritional rehabilitation and medical surveillance of wild species seized or voluntarily surrendered and the installation of checkpoints in strategic places of the Department.

In terms of environmental surveillance, Corpoguajira advances actions with the Matamoros battalions, Cartagena and Santa Barbara, to ensure vigilance in the rationed use of environmental resources, the conservation of wild species of fauna and flora and avoid constant environmental crimes. These alliances are effective for the control of environmental crimes related to commercial illegal mining actions., removal of carry-over material in bodies of water, indiscriminate felling of trees and illegal trafficking of wild species among others.
