Contemplating that the Trash program 0 It has been a global initiative that arose from the environmental problem generated by the uncontrolled increase of waste that is deposited daily in the different sanitary landfills., this being a response to the need to create environmental culture for the proper disposal.

One of the sessions was held at the classification station of the sanitary landfill of the municipality of Albania, where they actively participated 40 recyclers from the Campo Herrera and 4 November, -mostly women of the Wayuú ethnic group-, the environmental area of ​​the Planning Secretariat of the Municipal Mayor's Office of Albania, the contractor company executing the PRESERVAR project and officials from the environmental education area of ​​the Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira.

During the activity, the identified beneficiaries expressed their willingness to participate in this process that includes the strengthening of trade skills and the improvement of working conditions., through training workshops, consultancies, technical assistance and supply of work tools.
