With the initiative of Corpoguajira, in conjunction with the Foreign Ministry and border development and direction of research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, We implemented a community ecotourism project with communities within protected areas. For that, visits were made to protected areas integrated management districts (DMI) of Singers, Bañadero, Perija and Protective Forest Reserve of Montes de Oca.

Within protected areas, Corpoguajira has been forming and training as a strategy lookouts environmental protection and conservation of the biodiversity of our strategic ecosystems.

In addition they have also participated in courses bird watching, Customer Support, environmental alliance and strengthening the value chain of ecotourism, such as food and crafts in order to implement the community ecotourism project with the communities within protected areas.

These projects, we seek to increase the quality of life of the watchmen, as a reward for their work care, monitoring and environmental preservation.
