WITH PURE WATER FILTERS BIOSAND: A proposed impact to meet indigenous primary need in La Guajira

Sacred thread led social mission where he provided various social benefits; as access to water filters biosand, access to solar energy through panels and access to school education kits for children as a reward Wayuu indigenous communities that are part of the foundation and strive to lead their own future.

Thanks to the support of Safe Water Colombia supported by the Canadian Association for Participatory Development, People Network Project CAPD Foundation and a campaign supported by joint financing companies and citizens of the world, They were able to install 30 water filters with biosand, and train local leaders. These filters biosand, They are made from cement and special sand that removes impurities and allows the water to be 98% pure.

These results would not have been possible without the support of Corpoguajira that within its management are articulated for the benefit of vulnerable communities, this time making locally mobilize a team of more than 14 young volunteers who traveled from around the world to carry out this project; and the National Army who facilitated this work with logistical support and personnel to meet the goal of installing 30 biosand filters for filtering water, 30 solar panels, 10 sunlamps and with the support of Flor Amazona deliver more than 1.400 school kits Wayuú so that children begin their studies in the 2019 educational materials and tools that will improve their lifestyle.
