A cleaning day Mayapo- Manaure,- in compliance activities containing Vive La Guajira Wiper project, more than six tons of solid waste as an educational exercise and awareness where the inhabitants were actively involved in the sector and indigenous boarding school students were collected Laachon in Mayapo.

The cleanup day concluded with the presentation of 40 canecas kit to owners and managers of restaurants beaches Mayapo, Each kit consists of three cans of gray colors, green and red, they can implement what they have learned on the classification of waste and opportunity for recycling and marketing of the same.

In 8 years of project implementation,-operated by the Foundation Ecósfera-, sand they have intervened 26 Indigenous communities in the sector through education on solid waste management where also learns, To recycle, separating the source, to take organic waste and recyclables market.

In this process, They were collected over 500 tons of recyclable waste, seeking sustainability learning project. Vive La Guajira project Clean, has allowed the creation of two lines marketing: one is composting obtained through caprinaza and the second is the marketing of recyclable waste for this company have established an association with 9 Wayuu promoters trained on these issues.

The implementation of this project is led by the ecosphere Foundation and has the strong support of, Corpoguajira, Ecopetrol Foundation and the Chancellery -Chevron through the Borders for Prosperity Plan, in the second phase undertaken.
