Twenty young people from the school Sacred Heart of Jesus of Manaure decided to organize constituting the node Youth Environment Network, to support all environmental initiatives arising framed in activating the Interagency Technical Committee on Environmental Education (Cide).

Also young, mostly indigenous Wayuu, They inject their energy and leadership execution of activities from educational institutions through the School Environmental Projects (PLEDGE), They will participate in implementing days of cleaning salt ponds to improve the quality of life of workers at the site and the active search for the solution to the solid waste management in the municipality through educational workshops in the community.

The Environmental Youth Network node consists of 9 students, 10º and 11 who are committed to improving environmental quality in the municipality took flags to initiate a process of convincing the community to improve the relationship man – nature, environment conservation, sustainability and environmental sustainability.

Corpoguajira supports the establishment of departmental level Nodes Youth Network Environment. Node Manaure becomes the fifth of La Guajira. A total of 160 young people are committed to leading efforts to preserve and protect the environment from their homes.
