Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira, Through the workshop Water Resources, Planning and Territorial Management, which they were attended by officials of the Government of La Guajira and municipal mayors, He strengthened the understanding of the scope, content of the determinants and environmental issues in land use planning.

The workshop was taught by specialized professionals corporation, Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS) , Ministry Housing and Regional Office of La Guajira and sought Introduce Environmental Determinants established by the Corporation, environmental matters under consultation, new guidelines established by the MADS and inputs for system planning its territory from local.

Furthermore it unveiled the state in which are the POTS municipalities and emphasis was placed on the importance of the initiative and management of mayors, to build resilience and responsiveness to environmental issues in La Guajira.

Notably, these actions are critical to the development of La Guajira. Management plans are the road map for the territory east adapted to climate change, thus avoiding tragedies and natural disasters.
