Corpoguajira, is part of the entities in the region advance the Sustainable Rural Electrification Plan (PERS); initiative that seeks to benefit vulnerable populations indigenous and Afro.

This interagency effort, It promotes renewable energy initiatives aimed at the community living in areas not connected. In colombia, three departments (Nariño, Tolima and La Guajira) They have designed these plans in order to achieve goals for clean energy.

This week, It took place the presentation of the results of PERS, on energy demand that has the department until 2031. They also unveiled projects seeking through the implementation of renewable energy alternatives, mitigate the needs for energy and drinking water in remote rural areas.

As inclusive strategy, the Corporation will advance with the beneficiary communities, an agreement on forest conservation and water currents in the area. The above, framed at the time of delivery of the kit or unit alternative energy.
