ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING IN COASTAL MARINE TERRITORY GUAJIRA

 

The members of the Joint Commission on Coastal Environmental Unit of the Alta Guajira, formed by Acta 001 the 10 March 2014, amended by Agreement 002 the 11 November 2015, by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development - MINAMBIENTE, Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira – CORPOGUAJIRA and National Parks of Colombia - NPSC, of agreement as stated by Article 2.2.4.2.3.3. del Decreto 1076 of 2015, communicate to stakeholders and to the wider community, the beginning of the planning process and Integrated Management of Coastal Environmental Unit of Upper Guajira, which comprises: "From Castilletes (border with Venezuela) to the northeast margin of the Rancheria River in the department of La Guajira", according to the definition provided in the article 2.2.4.2.2.1. of the aforementioned decree.

There have been a series of meetings where linked to the committee, contribute to the guidelines established by the Institute of Marine and Coastal Research, developing the respective consulting, workshops for the creation and definition of the polygon of the UAC and guidelines of climate change in the same.

The management objective are the benefits you will receive community, since in the environmental management plan all environmental resources and the current situation has the coastal area would be reflected, allowing projects to formulate short-, medium and long term, to mitigate the environmental problems that threaten the coastal marine zone.

In the conservation of the environment, Regional Autonomous Corporation of La Guajira manages projects that are intended to ensure the care of natural resources and ecosystem of the department.
