Corpoguajira generated for the third time the appropriate setting for the design and construction of the Ten-Year Plan for Environmental Education 2019-2030 focused on development goals; in this space it has the strong support of the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development and the participation of all living forces and productive department.

The first major conclusion of the work day was the participation of DIMAR to assist in the formulation of the Plan from the marina view, by the importance that the geographical position of the only Colombian peninsula.

This plan is the roadmap to advance the construction of an oriented natural resource protection and environmental education, in which converge all public sectors, private, environmental, educational, productive and the general community of La Guajira.

In this construction there is direct responsibility of the 15 municipalities in the department, where each sector evidencing environmental issues and conservation actions and sustainability of the natural resources are drawn in each local authority.

The main objective is to promote educational management processes related to government public policy, framed in national politics Environmental Education, that result in behavioral changes, securities and wills, within different population groups, in order to build and consolidate an ethical culture and responsible for sustainable management, sustainable and environmentally friendly.

The MADS has been instrumental in guiding and orienting this area of ​​arrangement in which mayors came together, Agricultural and Environmental Department attorney, Cideas municipal secretaries and education, those responsible for the environmental area for each entity terrirorial, either representing the productive sectors (fishing, miner, farmers etc) and private companies.

The host for this call is the sign of the need in the department to build a roadmap with the participation of all sectors for the conservation of the natural resources of our territory.
