For Cristian Brito of the sixth grade of the Cerromar Gymnasium school, plant trees for your school in the company of 42 peers became an exciting experience.

By request of the Cerromar school, Corpoguajira donated native species and fruit trees that were planted by students and teachers to counteract the ravages of climate change and in the future the plant cover creates spaces that contribute to the healthy coexistence of the student community.

Learning through practice taking into account the request of each interest group, after recognition of their needs, is the objective respecting uses and customs.

With the advice of Corpoguajira The planting took place with the participation of all the students of the sixth A and B who cleared the planting area, made the holes with the indicated depth of 40 x 40 cm, they sowed, paid, they hydrated and finally protected the seedling with a fence to guarantee its growth without interruption.

The planting day in addition to learning about the influence of the tree on the quality of the environment, also originated in students and teachers a new commitment, the care of the flora.

This activity is part of the science events, education and participation led by the Corpoguajira Environmental Education area and that are included in the community participation proposal of the Corpoguajira action plan 2016 -2019.
