Over 1.500 indigenous Wayúu officially received the works developed by Corpoguajira and the Mayor's Office of Maicao, for the provision of water and food security in five ethnic communities of the border municipality.
The project was developed in Ceura, Shulema, Kululumana, Flower of La Guajira and Jisemana. Deep well drilling works were carried out in each of these communities., installation of photovoltaic systems and submersible pumps, construction of elevated storage tanks, installation of filters for water treatment and the implementation of a complete drip irrigation system for agricultural plots.
